Ruqʿah script

' or ' ((アラビア語:رقعة)) is a calligraphic variety of Arabic script. The ' style of handwriting is the most common type of handwriting. It is known for its clipped letters composed of short, straight lines and simple curves, as well as its straight and even lines of text. It was probably derived from the ''Thuluth'' and ''Naskh'' styles. It is clear and legible, and is the easiest script for daily handwriting. The demonstration underneath is not typical since it uses full vowels, which are rarely used in handwriting.

' is also known as Ottoman Font in Turkey and most of the documents from Ottoman Empire era are written in Riq'ah. Due to ease of writing, ' was the most common font in Ottoman Turkey.
